The National Youth Guitar Ensemble is looking for players, grade 5-6 to audition for this prestigious and fun ensemble.
Do you have young students who enjoy a challenging musical experience playing original works for guitar ensemble?
This year’s guest artists are the Vida Quartet (Mark Eden, Chris Stell, Helen Sanderson, Mark Ashford), and the programme will feature original concertos for guitar quartet and guitar orchestra.

NYGE is currently looking for young talented guitarists who have a passion for performing and interacting with like-minded musicians to audition for the ensemble’s 2014 courses.
If you know of a gifted guitarist aged 13-18 years old, that is of at least grade 6 standard then NYGE would love to hear from them.
Auditions are taking place in January at the following venues:
11th January ’14 Manchester Chethams School of Music
18th January ’14 Birmingham Edgbaston High School
26th January ’14 London Royal Academy of Music
Application closing date: 13th December 2013
Successful applicants are invited to attend two residential courses at Easter and in the summer led by Musical Director Gerald Garcia. The critically acclaimed VIDA Guitar Quartet will be performing with NYGE for the 2014 concert season. Bursaries for the courses are offered in cases of need.
